The Communications Division's job is to provide current information about City of Farmers Branch news, information, activities and events.  This is presented to citizens, newcomers, media, and City employees through a variety of City media, including:

• Branch Review - the City's monthly magazine, delivered by mail to residents.

• FBTV - Farmers Branch Television - cable channel 16 in Farmers Branch, providing coverage of City Council meetings along with programming on local events and information. FBTV is also webcast online here at the City's website.

• Farmers Branch Information Radio at 1670 AM - broadcasting City news and information 24 hours a day.

• Branch Mail - Free subscription e-mail news service, delivering City news and information directly to subscribers' e-mail boxes.

• News Releases / Media Relations

The Communications Division executes all public information campaigns for the City and serves as the media relations representative, both on a daily basis and in emergency situations.  In addition, the Communications Division serves as a resource center for citizens, staff, civic groups, and the news media. This division is responsible for the staff coordination of Student Government Day for both local high schools and supports the work of the Sister City committee.
